What was your first car, and do you miss it?

I still have an attachment to my first car. I'd like to see it again. It was a 1976 Triumph Dolomite Sprint.

My first car (for road use... I did have paddock bashers before i was 16 lol) was a 1967 Isuzu Bellett (google it). The first car that i developed a strong attachment to though was a blue 1977 RA28 (Mustang style) Celica. I owned it for 7 years and did heaps of mechanical upgrades to it, including importing an 18RG twin cam engine for it. That was in the mid 80s when import engine swamps weren't that common. I replaced shocks and springs to drop the ride height a bit (nothing too extreme). I didn't do any body mods though, coz they were such a beatiful shape straight out of the factory and you cant mess with perfection lol. (I did remove the side bump strips tho).
At a time when all my mates had v8 Monaros and Toranas, i was the odd one out, but they were the ones with problems keeping up!
I'd love to get another one to restore, but they are getting very rare and expensive unfortunately. if anyone wants to give one away, I'll gladly take it and show it the love it deserves lol....

Sounds cool! I had a similar situation. Imagine me driving around in the late 1980's with a yellow English 4 cylinder car. I kind of stood out a bit. I did like it though, as it had a few mods and was faster than a stock V8 Commodore.

You should have kept the Dolomite Sprint a very underrated pocket rocket
Looks very clean and original....hopefully it is still being well cared for.
My first car was a 1967 Mark 2 Cortina.....$800 special which came with a complimentary cockroach infestation in the back seat
