It's definitely a good buy for $200 as it looks complete other than the wheels. Just make sure that the frame number on the plates matches what is stamped into the body. Post some photos after you have it going and it is cleaned up. I've always liked that model. It still looks good today.

Great buy Richy, congratulations, you are going to love doing this classic ST 162 up. Hope it all goes well for you. I bought a brand new one in 1987 & still have it in mint condition, start it up every month but havent had it registered for several years now. Waiting till it is 30 years old & can get club rego next year. They will be a classic before long. I also bought a brand new TA 22 kept in mint condition too, it's a yelow 1975 with just 250K km they are fast becoming classsic cars. Hard to belive it is 41 years old this year!

Hi everyone, very chuffed as I just bought a 1989 ST162 with only two owners and 120,000 kms on the clock!! Original service books in the glovebox.
Drives like new and only some minor front bar damage. Looking at other pics on this blog it seems that it should have a front spoiler under the bar; mine is missing. Is this so and if so where would I be able to source one? Would welcome any ideas.
